Guided by Compassion, Grounded in Experience

Katherine Ormiston
Founder & Attorney, K. Ormiston Law, PLLC

Katherine Ormiston founded K. Ormiston Law after more than a decade of work at the intersection of immigration law, human rights, and social services — work that shaped not just her legal expertise, but her belief in what client-centered advocacy should look like.

Katherine focuses her practice on affirmative immigration matters, including VAWA self-petitions, U-visas, T-visas, family-based petitions, naturalization, waivers, and affirmative asylum. Her background in anti-trafficking and domestic violence services gives her particular insight into the needs of survivors navigating the immigration system — she understands that behind every case is a person, not just a file.

Katherine holds a J.D. from Concordia University School of Law and a B.A. in Multi-Ethnic Studies from Boise State University. She is licensed to practice law in Arizona and Idaho.

Outside the office, Katherine is a yoga teacher and enjoys hiking, listening to audiobooks, and traveling. Some favorites so far: Cairo, Mexico City, London, and the mountains of northern India.
